It is recommended to install a buffer tank in the heating circuit connected to the heat pump. The buffer tank increases the water volume in the system and reduces the heat pump starts (the heat pump will run with better efficiency).

The buffer tank also reduces the choking of the radiators. Clogging occurs when the heat pump switches from heating mode to domestic water production. Without a buffer tank, the changes in the heating water temperature (ups and downs) in the radiator circuit are large at this time. Rapid temperature changes cause the radiators to crack.

For an On-Off heat pump, it is recommended to install a storage tank V = 20 x heat pump heat output [liters] on the heating circuit.
